I have had this lens for some time and it has been great. I use it with my Canon 5D and up until last week it worked like a dream. However, last week I went to Scotland and all my landscapes where over exposing. I quickly realised that the aperture wasn't adjusting. Has anyone else come across this problem. Is there an easy do it myself fix? I anticipate it'll have to go for repair but I thought it wise to ask first.

Cheers in advance... Chris

How long is "some time"? I only ask because the Sigma EX lenses have an extended warranty (I think 3 years) on them - so if you've had it less time than that, it's worth going online and registering the warranty if you haven't already, then you should be able to get it fixed under warranty. (Sorry - drastic overuse of the "W" word there!)

I think that I saw someone suggest over-using the DOF button to try and excercise the blades. This was in the case that the blades had become sticky.
Set Av mode, with smallest aperture, and try the button a couple of times, apparently the blades should be visibly moving.
