This lens from DigitalRev is £160 cheaper than buying a UK version.
I know you will lose the extra 2 years warranty from Sigma, but you will have £160 in the bank for any future repairs.

Print out the web page and try and negotiate with your local shop, that's what I did when I bought mine, they virtually matched the price. In these recessionary times I expect places would be glad to make a sale.
