Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Canon Fit.

Does anyone on here have or used the above Lens?
If so what do you think of it?
Quite tempted to get one of these to use on my 550d, will be getting used for wildlife, motor bike racing, planes and anything else that gets in front of the lens!

Any info would gratefully recieved, good or bad!

The image stabilisation on it is quite frankly excellent. Definitely helps when you're focussing on a distant object at 500mm.

Thanks for that Adam, I'm liking they shots more than my bank does lol
 
Does the body effect how well these lenses take the pictures as well ? I am thinking of getting one for a Nikon, but I use the D3100, which isn't exactly top of the range.

Or should I upgrade the camera to ? :o

Been very pleased with mine on my D90

Well I jumped in and got one, just waiting for Scottish guy to do the same :D

All I can find are good reviews every where for this lens.
 
I've had one since january 2012 and I've got a lot of good shots with it, from birds to airplanes and allsorts in between. I'd recommend it highly to anyone, it's sharp fast and the OS is excellent.
Here's a few of mine, taken with a 5D MkIII, and the shots have had no PP apart from a crop.

Fantastic lens, love mine and can get some great sharp shots with it, just a random of a bike day a while back
