Sigma 150-500mm Lens Pntax Fit

I have just seen the 150-500mm Pentax fit lens for £599 at SRS Microsystems, the same lens is on Amazon for £722, thats £120 cheaper does anyone know if the lens sold by SRS is the same model or is it an older version and is it likely to be a grey import. and has anyone had any problems with SRS.

SRS are absolutely superb, Chris (the owner) has gone out of his way to help myself and a number of other Pentax owners over the years and I can thoroughly recommend them.

I bought my Sigma 50-500mm OS (Pentax fit) from them and it was accepted for the extended warranty which means it's UK stock, I have also bought numerous other Pentax lenses and bodies from them... plus if you are a member of Pentax User forums and give your username when you order they will give you free postage.

I think half the members on Pentax user forums have bought a 150-500mm OS from them actually.

Thanks Mike I am now reassured and will be ordering one at the end of the month. I was just a little unsure because of the price difference.

I think it's because of the amount of Pentax gear SRS sell. They are the biggest stockist/seller in the UK by some margin so can probably buy a lot cheaper than even Amazon. I know quite a few of their Sigma lenses (Pentax fit) are also less than other retailers.

SRS also have a used one on Ebay for £499 with 12 months warranty if you are interested LINK but personally I would wait a while and buy new for the extra 2 years guarantee.

Just to add another positive voice to the mix - I've also used SRS for various Pentax related purchases and they have been excellent for me too.
