Sigma 150-500mm on D3100

Will a Sigma 150-500mm work on a D3100? From the info I can see they are af-d mounts which I thought wouldn't auto focus but on the other hand they have hsm. I'm confused, is there certain one's I should be looking out for or will they all work/auto focus? I tried one a while ago on my camera that worked but I don't know what mount it was. Last thing I want to do is buy one only to realize it doesn't auto focus :shrug:

it will work fine as the lens has it own built in motor.
