Yes
Hi all, I'm looking for an upgrade on my Nikon 18-105 kit lens, I've seen a few reviews and samples of the above lens', but I'm stuck between the two, has anyone used either, could you recommend one?

Thanks, Adam.

I use the 17-50 on my 7D and find it ideal for a walkabout. Of course it all depends what you shoot and you may prefer the 70mm end.

The 17-50 is a better lens than the 24-70 on sigma iq wise but I would buy the Tamron 24-70 F/2.8 VC USD but at the moment it's a bit expensive as it's only just come out. £800

i would say it depends on your intended use.if you do landscape photography/use the wide end of your lens, then maybe the 17-50 would be your choice on a cropped sensor camera.i've had both[still have the 24-70 on my full frame a900],and been very happy with the results given, but in truth, only you will know which will best suit your needs
