(Fortunately) at the end of a shoot over the weekend my Sigma 17-50 EX developed a problem with the zoom lock.
I think between shoots I put the zoom lock on (don't know why, never normally do), then when I took it off noticed that I could only zoom between about 30-50 and the zoom lock switch was stuck on.
Managed to free the switch with some gentle force and the lens went back to 17mm, but now the switch seems ok, but the lens is stuck between 17 and 25mm, if i put the switch on then the lens stays firmly locked at 17 which is normal.
I'm based on Dorset and need the lens for a wedding in 4 weeks time, anyone know of a good repair place either locally or a reliable one I can send the lens off too?
