Sigma 17-70 OS or Nikon 16-85 VR

Hi there, any thoughts or experience on this comparison, please?

Done a search on here without finding much. Still to see more than one review of the new Sigma.

Grateful for your input - I use a D90 and have no other lens in that range (except a Sigma 18-200OS),

I'll be able to let you know about the 16-85mm, as bought one in the For Sale thread, and it's arriving tomorrow (coincidently my birthday).

Bought the sigma 17-70mm os hsm yesterday and quite impressed so far, although not had chance to properly use it yet

I had the Sigma 17-70 OS and it's an excellent lens as far as sharpness and macro are concerned, but I didn't like the clunkiness of the OS and the slow focus. Just bought the Nikon 16-85 VR which is smaller and lighter and although the sharpness and macro are not quite as good I'm very pleased I made the change.
