Sigma 17-70mm price?

Hello all,

Anyone know what the average selling price is for a Sigma 17-70mm 2.8-4-5 lens? Its the DC version, Canon fit.

I just saw one in my local Jacobs for 350 ish so there's at least one data point.

Nikon fit. I'm going to give it a try this week if I can get down there.

I was guessing it would be £120-160 used, as a guess.

Its a nice lens, I'd be tempted to look at a Tamron 17-55 2.8 non-VC too though if I were you as I hear this is the best lens for £250ish used.
 
I'd agree with 120-160 for the 2.8-4.5
The newer OS 2.8-4 model is an improvement in my opinion (just due to the OS) but is closer to £250!

It depends what camera you 've got...some people on dyxum argue that sony's SSS is more effective than SIgma's OS at this focal range so there is no point of paying the extra 100...I presume that for Nikon/Canon users the OS will give better results
