SIGMA 170-500mm f/5.0-6.3 APO DG

Has anyone had any experience of the SIGMA 170-500mm f/5.0-6.3 APO DG. If so can you share your thoughts as i am thinking of getting this lens.

I have the old version and it is OK, went for a newer 150-500 OS

As I handhold or beanbag rather than tripod.

Which one do you prefer Rick as i'm considering both but am not sure which one to go for.
