Sigma 18-125mm f3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM Lens

Just wondering what peoples thoughts or experiences are of the Sigma 18-125mm f3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM Lens, is this a good walk around lens?

I like the range it offers, and the price isn't too bad, not been able to find any decent reviews on this lens. So not sure how sharp it's likely to be?

It would be helpful if anyone that's got any photos shot with this lens could possibly post them up?
 
Another consideration would be the Sigma 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS Lens (as there isn't a huge difference in the prices)

Not sure how good the 18-200mm would be across the range, compared to the 18-125mm?

Any feedback on either?
 
When I had a 450D, I had the 18-125 (non-OS version) and then bought the 18-200 OS for the additional reach. Optically I felt the 18-125 was the sharper of the two, despite lack of OS.

Yeah I did think that the shorter 18-125 would probably be a little sharper as the range is less, but really don't know much about this lens at all, and can't really find out much to be honest.

Personally speaking after using IS I wouldn't go for a non IS lens, and the range of this lens really suits me as a general walk around.

I don't want to go for it though if IQ is just mediocre, it's not an expensive lens so I know it ain't the best out there, but as long as it's sharpish and punchy I'd be happy.
 
I have one as my walk around/landscape lens and it's fine. For the money I don't think you can argue, colour reproduction and sharpness are good, and the OS is worth having.
 
If you go to my Flickr (link in my signature) and search my photostream for Sigma 18-120mm f3.8-5.6 DC OS, it should come up with all the shots I've taken with it. You can see them at a large size then and judge sharpness etc for yourself.

Did you manage to use F3.8 at the wide end?
Cause I have one and using 450D but at wide end is F4.0
