Sigma 24-70 2.8

What is this lens like canon fit since it can be got at good price.

you get what you pay for. The non HSM is terrible, the HSM is better but certainly not as good as canon

I had one. 24-50 it was very good at f2.8 (24mm was sharper than the Canon), but past 50mm it was very very soft even in the center. I just changed it for the Tamron 24-70 VC and am extremely happy I did. It's better than the version 1 of the Canon but not as good as the II
