Sigma 24-70 f2.8 vs 24-70 HSM

Does anyone know what the difference is other than the HSM motor?

Is there much difference between the two in terms of IQ?

The hsm reviews are much better. The non hsm was supposed to be a bit of a lemon.

Get the Tamron, I had the HSM for 3 years and after 50mm it was a lemon. Now have the Tamron and it's sharrrrp!

Cheers for that. I had the Tammy 28-75 f2.8 which I didn't think was very sharp at all wide open. Heard good things about the 24-70 VR though and it does have VR!
