Anyone use one?

On my consideration list, and just wondered what it's performance is like (IQ wise)?

Would you kick yourself after, and wished you had brought the canon. l had the same problem and got the canon, and look at the resale value of canon vs sigma. The canon one is quality

Bloody good point.

I am aiming for the Canon version, but same old, may not have enough funds.....

the sigma is a pretty good deal at the moment £574

the only thing i don't like is the vignetting when the lens is wide open and at the wide end never really recovers but its no problem to fix it

Have a word with Kerso on here - you never know it might *just* be affordable.

I've not used the sigma but have the canon and love it.

I'm in a similar boat, I quite fancy the 24-70 f/2.8 L but it would mean selling my 24-105 f/4 L IS and I often find I need that extra reach. I wonder if there's an EF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM in the works at Canon....did you hear that Canon?! :p

I use the sigma 28-70 allbeit in nikon, it can be slightly soft wide open but its really a cracking lens for the money

I had the Nikon version, sold it for the Nikon 24-70 lens. However, I don't think now looking back the Nikon was worth the extra money. The sigma was well built and my example was always pin sharp.

Andy I have the Siggy 24-70 (not the HSM though), you are welcome to try it out Mate. ;)
