Are there two versions? I have sen 2 listed - 1 as above and the other an EX DG Macro. Are they the same lens? is the EX an older model? Do they have proper manual focus?

Need one in kind of a hurry for a last minute job!
 
I have the Sigma 24-70 f2.8 ex dg macro, it's a decent lens but lacks the hsm motor and isn't full time manual focusing, there is a newer version that does this - Sigma 24-70mm f2.8 IF EX DG HSM
 
i have the 24-70 2.8 EX, and as far as i know it's the older version of this lens.

the af/mf switch is a bit of a pain tbh, you have to flick a switch on the barrel and then move the focusing ring backwards or forwards to engage/disengage the af. i rarely manually focus this lens though (prefering fast primes for that)

what sort of money is the EX going for?
 
The DG is digitally optimised according to sigma i think, just means its got some coatings on the glass. The EX is the original one with the HSM model being the latest one.

That's the one I'm looking at - when it's off the body can you still activate MF?

It's £220. :thumbs:
