As no one else has replied... yet...
I haven't got one...
but I have the (I believe) very similar 20mm f1.8 and I really like it. It's not rezor sharp at f1.8 but I find that after moderate sharpening it shots look good and out of the camera shots get sharp very quickly as you close the aperture down, by f2 I have no complaints.
Focus will no doubt be the same as my 20mm. It hasn't got HSM but does have a slightly odd sliding focus ring to stop you damaging the gears in auto mode. It seems odd at first but once you get used to it it actually seems like quite a good idea.
If the 24mm is anything like the 20mm, and reading the reviews seems to be like reading the 20mm reviews, I'd guess that it's a good lens.
