Sigma 28mm-70mm f2.8

Hey,

Just looking for a bit of adive really.

I'm just back from a local camera shop and I can get the above lens for £175, is this worth it?

Also I'm looking for the Sigma 24mm-70mm f2.8. Is the extra 44mm worth it?

Any help would be appreciated.

The 28-70 has its fans, but be careful as there were some woefully soft versions kicking about...

I meant to say its the EX DG version and not the DG version.

I had a play with it at lunch time and I like the feeling of it, just resenting paying that price if I get it as one just went on ebay for £80 lol.

I ended up buying the lens and I love it :).
