Iv'e just been loaned one of these to play with does anyone have any experience with one?

I had one. It was slightly soft wide open, although as usual with sigma this varies from lens to lens. I loved it though and only sold it because I was swapping systems.

I'd be interested on your experience with it - I'm looking for a cheap wide angle prime and read pretty unconvincing reviews about the Canon 28mm.

Well Iam hoping to nip over to queensferry after work to try it on the forth bridges if the rain stays off so I'll let you know

Useful in low light although vignettes badly on full frame.

Give it a go and you will see. Even being Sigma it won't bite or spread disease Wash your hands when you get home though :nono: Talking more seriously, it will be probably a bit soft, and hazy from what I saw.

Well the weather wasnt great and i didnt find it very sharp tbh altho that's more likely to be my lack of abilty
