I've had no luck in locating a CPL filter for my Sigma 300 2.8 lens.
Anyone have a clue where I can get one?
Sigma are no help(as they do not sell directly) and most shops/websites don't have them in stock.
The filter is 46mm but its really thin and doesn't have the front rotating element.

These rear filters were supplied with the lens new, 1xUV and 1xCPL, I have not seen them listed anywhere as a separate item, it would seem that Sigma shouls supply as a spare part process. Sorry I can not help more.
List of item included with Lens.

Front Cover
Rear Lens Cap
Lens Hood
Carry Case with Strap
46mm Normal Filter
46mm Circular Polarizing Filter
1-Year Worldwide Warranty + 3-Year Extended USA Warranty

Thanks
I got the lens 2nd hand with the uv one. Sigma don't care to supply the CPL

Understand, But i would shout a bit louder as there is no other way to get the item as they have never been retail packed on their own. Have you tried the spare parts department?

Yep i have, and I know a couple of suppliers in the EU and they haven't got it.
I don't need it that badly, but it will be nice to have.
I hope someone here has a spare one :)

I believe the version of the 300mm I have did not come with the CPL filter in the box.

Sigma must be able to supply through an authorised dealer.

Or you could get these people to cut one to size and drop it in to your UV mount. I don't know how you'd get around the rotating requirement though. SRB should be able to advise.

Thanks a lot to photobiker for sorting me out with the filter.
