I am conidering buying the above lens, but I would like to try it out for a week before making the commitment. Is there anyone who has the lens available for hire for 1 week in Canon fitment?

I have looked at the usual places and can't find anywhere.
 
Have you considered buying new/2nd hand to try it out. I doubt you'll lose much, certainly not more than the cost of hire, plus if you like it you'll save money.
 
I have considered it and may have to, but I'd prefer to borrow one for a week if I can.
 
I noticed on Jacobs site about hiring that if you buy from them after they waver the hire charge. Might be worth a trip there if you haven't?
 
I promise you'll love this lens! I bought a 5D Mark II and a 50mm Sigma but I kept my 30D just to use my Sigma 30mm on because it's so good.

I'm keeping an EF-S body just to use the 30mm
