If I buy a sigma lens from digitalrev can it be registered in the uk for warranty purposes? Does it get the 3 year warranty that sigma are giving at the minute? If I get any focusing issues can it be calibrated from sigma uk under the warranty? Sorry I know there's a lot of question, thank u in advance for your help..
 
No,No,if you pay, £37.50 for calibration and I think around £100 for AF motor replace and 8-12 week turnaround if you need parts from Japan. Not sure what DR policy is with FF BF issues.

They will for money, but youll be at the back of a long queue.

Nope, they'll do the work but as above. Maybe policy changed very recently.
 
Spoke to sigma and they basically said that you'll recive no warranty from them at all and on all import lenses will be a charge to do any work on it what so ever. So for an extra £75 you'll get 3 year warranty and if any problems occur will be no charge unless my own fault.
 
Does anyone know the best place to get one of these from? Everyone seams to be out of stock! :-(
 
panamoz do 12 months free replacement warranty. If anything is wrong you send to there UK office and the send out a replacement.
 
What about buying a good used copy? What I did when I got fed up of ordering new copies and sending back due to focus issues.
 
Good price for dealer used and has the new finish, good find Tony. Doh, its Sony mount.

My concern is that I can't seam to be able to talk to anyone at panamoz, everytime I dial the number no one answers! And if there ever was an issue with the lens I'd be stuck with it! Just looking at worst case scenario..
