I've been flicking back and forth between lens choices for a while now, and while I'm super tempted to get a 30mm f/1.4 and 50mm f/1.4 (both Sigmas, as well) for general use and portraiture, I'm thinking that the 50's f/1.4 won't help /too/ much with low light, as that sort of shooting, at least for me, would usually be interior shooting, i.e. something I'd shoot with the 30mm on.
The 50-150 seems to be the perfect focal length for me to work with for portraiture for now (still not sure whether I'd be working more at 85 or 50 (Nikon crop) as I've only been shooting on an 18-55 and a 70-300, so the focal length comes down to which lens is on a fair bit) , but I haven't been able to find /too/ much about it on the internet by way of write-ups etc., as I've only been looking for it since NikonRumours posted about it.
Anyone here use(d) them? f/2.8 is the most light gathering I'll get out of a zoom, and most of my portraiture shooting will probably be done in enough light for that.
Basically, as long as it's still a fairly capable lens (DC doesn't matter to me, as there's no way i'll have the funds to buy a FF outfit for a long time anyway), I'll probably get one.
I've looked through the flickr group and it looks capable enough, just looking for a couple of opinions on general use of the lens Of course there's the usual Sigma dodgy-copy warning, but I'm asking about working copies
