Anyone still using one?

Been offered one for £300 and in need of something aroud that range and the 150-600's is out of my price range and will be for a while now

I had one some years ago before upgrading it to the OS version (and then upgrading that to a different lens altogether). It's quite heavy and needs stopping down to get the best out of it but considering the range you are getting it performs pretty well. I will say though that few another £100 or so you could probably find a 150-500mm OS which is a much better lens.

Anyway, a few from the one I had ... these were taken hand held.

I managed to get a Sigma 150-500 with OS for £330 on eBay. Unless you need that 50-150 range I’d shop around for the 150-500 with OS I’ve been happy with mine for the price.

I’ve not used a non OS version so I cant say how much improvement there is but having that OS sure makes it easier to shoot is less than perfect conditions.
 
Ended up going for a used 150-500 OS instead.

Still within budget
