Looking for a nice sharp lens for my new Sony a6000 and reviews show the New Sigma 60mm f/2.8 DN Art is among the best and DXO Mark rates it the sharpest lens available at a ridiculous Low price of £130 compared to the Zeiss £1000 ...can this be right or have DXO mark made a mistake?

All the reviews are very favourable for that lens, TBH looks like the bargain of the century :)

Now, if they'd only make a Canon mount...

It's sharper wide open in the extreme corners than most lenses every get in the centre!

It nearly covers ff too, with baffle removed
60mm is great on crop IMO, much better than 50

Ignoring price any ideas how this compares to the Sony 50mm 1.8?
Its sharper in the extreme corners than the Sony gets in the centre (and the Sony iS sharp!) - compare the numbers on DXOmark.

Its 1 and a1/3 stop slower than the Sony, it doesn't have OSS like the Sony.

The Sigma 60mm focal length equates to 90mm in full frame which to me at least is a nicer 'standard' focal length than the 75mm full frame equivalent of the Sony.

Well happy with mine for what I paid for it and I would go as far to say it's the sharpest lens I have EVER owned period.

the other option would be a sal50mm and adapter, but thats not a super compelling lens :/
