Sigma 70-200 2.8 II HSM Macro Issue

A strange issue when it goes to the minimum focal distance it gets stuck and is not AF anymore, maybe it's the camera maybe it's the lens maybe it's me I would like your input/experience on this.

Btw it's Nikon fit so maybe it's something from the settings of the D300 I've just got to try out and I hav absolutely no experience with the AF on this one

Already did they advised me to send it for repair as it's still in warranty, but it actually turned out after testing it on a D70 that it works just fine, but the D300 is having some problems when focusing with telephoto lenses which is quite strange. The 50mm works great the 18-70 works great but I'm having issues with the Nikon 70-300 and the Sigma 70-200 same goes for the Sigma 24-135 I have, any idea on this?

if all of those lenses are playing up on the D300 then its probably a body issue. have you cleaned the contacts etc?

I've updated the firmware and cleaned the contacts with alcohol and it works now
