sigma 70-200 OS options

hi all
I'm after some advice about my lenses.

I have a 40D, with some primes and a sigma 50-150 f2.8 which I really like
and have taken some decent shots with it (for my standards anyway)
however, i'm thinking that some OS/IS would be handy for indoor shots and candids.

so I'm thinking of trading in my 50-150mm sigma and canon 70-300mmIS
for the newish sigma 70-200 OS and a 1.4x simga converter (the pair I've seen for around £950-1000 ish)
which is a lot cheaper than the canon one I'd obviously really like instead (£1600 plus? for 2.8 and IS?)

so any advice on the sigma 70-200 OS?

i use the sigma 70-200 (non os) on my camera , and it give fantastic results

I have the non OS which is utterly superb, and the OS version is supposed to be even better.

That together with the sigma 1.4 TC would be a stunning combo.

I would lose 20mm at the far end from the 300mm. (1.6x)
however, It's a little soft reputedly, so I pull back from the far end anyway.

thanks for your feedback guys. I'd like the canon 70-200is 2.8 that's just too much money
also it reduces my lens count a wee bit!
