As i've finnaly had a good chance to use the camera over the weekend.

I've noticed that the lens is very slow @ AF'ing while panning.

Has any one else noticed the problem with this lens?

It's a common problem with all cheaper tele-zooms, it's partly down to the motor and partly because the lens lets in less light than one with constant f2.8 for example.

Yup mine was the same, makes an awful noise when it hunts also :embarrassed: Replaced it with the nikon 70-300 VR now :D
 
Not really sure, I would think about the £60-80 mark :shrug:
