I've got both lenses but one of them must be sold to fund few gifts for family for Christmas
I'm struggling for few weeks now to decide which one to keep. What do you think?
From what I found so far:
Sigma has got decent sharpness from f/8 in focal range 70-200 but in 300mm contrast goes down and sharpness as well. AF is slower than USM obviously and less accurate in low light condition but having 5d mkII I'm not gonna shoot sports etc. Sigma has got macro mode as well.
Canon on the other hand is faster, quieter and has FTM but sometimes it seems to be softer than sigma. Pointed down it's extending due to gravity(and age). Even if sigma is soft on 300mm, this focal range can be useful in some situations. Canon is only 210mm.
Please express your opinions
