sigma 70-300mm dg will not focus

hi guys bought this about a year ago not really used it much but took it out tonight and for some reason it will not focus at all..if you put it at full range the motor pulls it back but not in focus ..try and get the motor to extend out and all you get is a small clicking noise and no focusing at all...tried flicking the switch from auto to m and back again but still nothing ..no warnings or anything ..any ideas ???

Try giving the focus ring a little twist, it may be stiff, this is just to free it up

I had to do that on my one when I first got it
