Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG Macro Vs 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG OS

hello, i have just sold my sony a200 and gone for a nikon D5000, i had the sigma 70-300 apo dg macro for it and liked it, now i want a zoom for the nikon, but as it does not have IS in the body i take it i need it for the lens, i am wondering if there is any IQ between the 2???

or is there another zoom lens i should consider around that price point.
