Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO.... to buy or not to buy

Iv been offered a Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO DG for £60 and as money is very tight at the moment im tempted to buy.

The lens i would really like is the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM, but it will take me 6 months of saving, if im lucky


Need to make my mind up tomorrow and let him know....... what to do??

I had a wee play with my old one in my 7d the other day. I was amazed at the image quality. For an older lens it is very sharp. It's a handy (smaller and lighter) backup for my 100-400 L.
Buy it.

Totally agree, cracking bit of kit for the price.

Thanks for the replies guys, iv decided to buy this lens.

As already said, if I'm not happy with it, its Only 60 quid! .
