Sigma 70-300mm problem

Hello all
I was taking pics with my sigma 70-300mm last week and realised that the auto focus was alot slower than it used to be.I could easily tell this as the focusing is quite loud on this lens and it just sounded alot slower.
Any ideas on what this could be and is it fixable ?

As above! The servicing department at Sigma are spot-on, send it to them, and they'll have a look and give you an estimate. If you want work doing on it, there's a flat fee for each lens depending on its value, or if you don't want them to go ahead, they'll send it back to you for £12!

+1 for Sigma service, nice people and would actually answer the phone and tell me how long my lens would be (in the end it came back a week early)

My lens also went with a slightly chewed Canon back cap, and was returned to me with a nice new Sigma one FOC
