Can anyone verify that as long as this lens has DG on it that it would be compatible with my Canon 350d:)
 
DC & DG lenses are fine on your camera, if gonig for this lens get the APO designated lens, the optic are better. I had one on my 400D so dont worry about yours.
 
The reason i asked this question is that i purchased one on ebay that stated it was DG, however when i recieved it it did not fit my camera and did not state DG on the body
 
It might be a different camera mount to the body you are putting on. Does the lens cap for the rear say something like canon af or caf?
 
It says SA/KPR can these camera mounts be changed?

no cant be changed, probably different electronics insde to communicate with the camera. Was it a shop/ebay seller that you got it from?
the one you have mounts to SIGMA bodies!
 
Many thanks for your help Lee i am new to this so a bit of a learning curve im afraid. I cannot really return the lens as he did not state that it was a canon mount i just assumed that with it being listed as a DG APO that it would be compatible with my camera. So i think i will just have to relist it on Ebay myself and see if i can get most of my money back. At least with your help i will now know that although it is a DG APO i also need to make sure that it is a canon mount.:thumbs:
