Sigma 85mm f1.4 and indoor sports?

Hi, Im doing a lot of indoor equestrian shoots at the moment and for dressage I can get away using my 70-200 f2.8 but Ive got indoor show jumping to do and the lighting is at best atrocious. From where I am usually allowed to operate I tend to hover around the 70-100 mm mark, so Im thinking of something slightly faster to compensate for the higher shutter speeds I'm going to need.
So has anyone used this lens for similar situations or can offer suggestions for an alternative in a similar price range?

Might be better to get this moved to the Sports section as plenty of horse shooters in there.

alternative:

canon 85mm f/1.8 - 1/2 price, very sharp wide open and some reviews call it the fastest focusing EF lens. At least I have been very positively surprised by it. You can't get much better value for money than that.
