From my understanding, and I don't have one, it is a fairly underwhelming lens.
It doesn't have any of the Sigma features than normally make them more usable/versitile such as HSM or OS - or even APO elements.
For that focal range you would be far better served getting a Canon 55-250mm IS lens which when bought used does not come to that much more money.
