Could someone walk me through the process of using the Sigma Dock on my D750 and Sigma 35 1.4?

I have Focal software which is quite useful but wanted to give the dock a go and update firmware etc at the same time.

I haven't got one of those lens align product (focal chart with scales etc).

I can adjust the focus at four point with the Sigma, from memory is is 30cm, 40cm, 60cm and infinity.

Do I just run the focal software at each distance and input those values into the Dock? or is it better to set up a manual method of calibrating with a focus chart, ruler etc and test that way?

Thanks

I've only used the dock with a prime lens but the same principle. Find out the values you need at each length and input them into the Sigma software, leave your camera at default. For AF Tuning I use the DotTune method, I have charts but I find DotTune more accurate and quicker.

I do it as stated above with the usb dock 20 40 60 inf I'm sure others do it another way there is a vid on youtube which explains will try and find it for you ;-)

I would go with your first suggestion and find the adjustments you need then put them in via the dock then check again once done .i change my lens setting frequently to suit what I intend to be shooting at the time ,I.e speed ,accuracy ,stabiliser mode .
Nothing is final with the dock you can fine tune till it's right

Black fox is correct I think. What I did was run focal 5x for each focal length, took average then used the dock. Then I adjusted by eye. It does make a massive difference
