Sigma dock (canon)

I am getting a sigma 150-600mm C lens soon and wondered if the lens will work as normal on my 70d or do I have to buy the dock to make the lens compatible with my camera.

You don't have to buy the dock. The lens is compatible with your camera without it. However the dock does give you some additional customization options.

It'll be compatable without it, but useful for upgrading firmware, making focus adjustments/limits or configuring the OS

as above ,wouldn't be without mine ,in fact i will be doing yet another alteration tonight as i realised something while doing close up shots today !

+1 for the dock - costs so little but offers so much with the customisation opportunities and also any firmware updates which are so simple to execute with it.
For £40 it's a no brainier imo.
