Hi guys, iv been trying to sort out a problem with my lens, its not sharp at all. Iv tried cleaning it and altering the settings on my camera but nothing seems to work. Can anyone offer any advice or solutions.

Is it never sharp? Regardless of focal length or aperture?
 
Can you see anything within the lens or does it appear to be perfectly clean?
 
I have seen reviews of this lens and it did look very hazy in tests.

Has it always been like this or a recent thing?
 
It look ok through the veiw finder but when you zoom in on a pic its hazed
 
Depends how far you're zooming in I guess. D'you have any full resolution examples?
 
Not on me at this moment as im away from my laptop, i will post some pics later when im home, showing the difference between my lenses
 
It looks like it is front focussing to me.
If you look at the wicker thing it's standing on, around 1cm? in front of the object appears sharp.
 
I did think that but i put the focal point on the O in towels, is there anything i can do to compansate it
 
I believe the D7000 has autofocus fine tune.
Do a search, and it will be explained, but basically, you can adjust the focus for whatever lenses need it.
