I am thinking of buying a Sigma 24 mm F 1 .4 ART lens. Past quality issues with Sigma have Put me off buying them but I know this can be used along with a Sigma dock for adjusting AF discrepances for DSLRs and along with the potentially excellent performance of this lens seems positive.
I intend to use it primarily with a Canon R6 camera so AF adjustment is irrelevant but I would also want it on a 5Ds which I have just ordered. Could anyone tell me whether once I calibrated the lens using the dock to work with the 5Ds if it would affect its performance on the R6?
I know I don’t need to calibrate AF for mirrorless so assume it wouldn’t matter but as I’ve not much of an idea how the Sigma dock affects the lens workings and am generally a bit clueless in these matters I’m just making sure.
