Sigma lenses from Jessops?

Does anyone know if you qualify for Sigma's 3 year warranty if you purchase one from Jessops?

I didn't think jessops stocked Sigma anymore? That's what I was told when I was looking for my 70-200?

Yes I was surprised when I saw them for sale on Jessops web site,because they don,t have any in their stores. I don,t see why you shouldn,t receive the same warranty as you would if you bought the lens from Jacobs.

From memory Jessops no longer have Sigma stock kept in but do still resell Sigma lenses.

When buying in store and online Jessops have to order each lens from Sigma and send it on to you
 
From what I can remember Jessops had a slight run in with Sigma during their little financial hiccup, and don't have an extended credit line with them anymore; hence the need for stocking to order.
 
Sigmas uk web site has a list of authorised sellers. Amazon arnt on there but theyvare obviously an authorised dealer as they honoured my warranty....

However, if you go for an unauthorised seller they won't honour the guarantee.

I have just checked their site and they have the Sigma lens range advertised.
 
I am interested in the Sigma 150-500 on interest free credit, 6 months. But if I add a UV filter to take it over £800, I can get 12 months interest free credit.

Had a reply from Jessops saying they can supply the lens, but it will take 10 days, so the comments about them ordering each one from Sigma direct is true.
 
on the tills pretty much everyone of sigmas line is a 'special order item' ie meaning if someone wants it we'll order it up, annoyingly you can't order in to play with the items

we also have Pentax gear as well now, but not in store.
 
I didnt think Jessops sold Sigma, only Tamron but i know Jacobs sell Sigma.
