Hello,

I have newly acquired a Sony A7iii and love it! I have a Sigma MC-11 adapter that I’m using with a Tamron 70-300 lens with canon mount. It works flawlessly so I’m grilled about that.

I love astrophotography so looking at a wide angle low light lens, I have seen the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 for a bargain price however it’s a Sigma Mount lens.

I have googled and it appears be ok however can anyone confirm whether my current Canon EF/EF-S to Sony E mount sigma adapter will work with the Sigma mount lens and Sony A7iii.

Many thanks!

Paul

No, it wont work, Canon and Sigma use 2 different mounts. Sigma mount Sigmas are cheap because nobody really uses Sigma cameras.

As a side note, I picked up a Samyang 24/1.4 in Canon mount with a Novaflex (I think) adapter in great condition for £210. Might be worth looking into for an Astro only lens. That's all mine is.
