Sigma prices

Have Sigma increased the prices of their lenses in the last three to four weeks. The reason I ask is because I was given a quote for a Nikon fit Bigma three weeks ago and today the quote went up over 150 euro. The shop says it is due to sigma increasing their prices.

Thanks, According to that site the Sigma 50-500 (canon fit) has actually come down in price since the start of the year.

Then obviously it has, your source for quotes must be rubbish I guess. Shop around, it's the future...

THE OP quotes the price in Euros so comparing prices in Britain may not be entirely accurate as Sigma may have different purchasing costs in different markets, especially given the impact of currency fluctuations between the yen and euro. Also comparing retail prices includes the impact of VAT: 13 EU countries have higher standard VAT rates than Britain.

It may still be cheaper to buy from Britain but Sigma might regard this as a grey import and this may affect the warranty offered
