Sigma usb dock

This will be a nice accompaniment to the newer range of sigma lenses. Anyone who's had focus issues with the likes of the 35mm 1.4 will be glad to see it's not overly expensive. Cheaper than I expected at least.

I'll be grabbing one when they become available here. I still think my 35 is slightly off.

The new version of that lens looks sweet. The price however, is ridonkulous!

I know, I was considering one untill I saw the price. That hike was enough to make me man up and buy the Nikon prime instead.

Finally got this dock for Nikon to go with my 35 1.4

Just hooked it up there and updated the firmware on the lens. That's about it for the 35mm, unless you know exactly what micro adjustments need tweaking. You can tweak 4 separate focus zones, from close to infinity. Which is nice, so long as you know for sure, after testing, precisely what each zone requires by way of + or - tweaks.

So for now all I can do is update the firmware and go test the lens, see how it goes. If I find it's off in any of those 4 zones after testing, I can hook it back up, move the sliders, then go check again ... you still do all the work, all sigma really offer is the firmware update and allow you to tweak that update, basically. So for me it's a one off use ...

maybe anyone this lens might like to do a joint buy, stick a tenner each in, update your firmware and pass it on to the next. Unless you're planning to also buy some of the other new sigma offerings. There is more options for the zooms. I'll hold on to it in case of further firmware updates and if I do happen to notice an obvious area that needs tweaking individually. And then work out exactly how to do it precisely ...

Not great with instructions are Sigma I must say.
