Hello all.

Can anybody enlighten me to why, my Sigma 70-200 f2.8. ex dg hsm mk2 zoom will not allow me to mount it onto my Canon ef1.4x mk2 extender.

does this mean i am going to have to sell my canon one, and buy the sigma version. then again i really want to use the canon one as it produces great results on my Canon ef 300mm f2.8.

anyone got any ideas.

cheers paul....

Hi Paul
I wasn't aware that there would be a problem mounting on the extender.
Works perfectly the other way round: the 70-200 f4L works perfectly on the Sigma 1.4 extender.

I realise this doesn't actually help you a lot.

Ps, is the invitation for sunday still open?

I believe the front element on the canon extender protrudes quite a way? Does it hit the back element of the sigma lens?

I think this is the problem, the sigma TC doesn't protrude nearly as much, so doesn't cause issues the other way around, but for some reason Canon decided to be difficult!

Chris

Cheers Paul, and thanks for the info Chris.
