Anyone got this yet or tried it out? Lots of hype about this lens and it does look good. I'm currently considering a Nikon 35mm 1.4G but now this looks tempting, just not enough info about it yet.

Everytime I read something about this lens it looks more interesting and more tempting.

I have their 50 amd 85mm f1.4's and I'm very happy with them both. I also have a Siggy 20mm f1.8 which I was very happy with on my 20D, equiv= 32mm, but it's a very different beast on my 5D so I have been toying with the idea of getting a 28 or 35mm. I doubt I'll do it though as I have sort of half convinced myself that for me the future is mirrorless.

I am definitely keeping all my mirrors at home, in car, dSLR and otherwise

My impression from that review is that it beats the Samyang for center sharpness wide open and in the extreme corners thoughout the range but isnt quite as sharp in the mid frame stopped down.

Why?

The image quality you get from the latest CSC rivals what you get from APS-C and even FF unless you go to the utter extremes that most of us just kid ourselves we need the ability to go to.

In some situations not having a lump of metal, plastic and glass thrashing about inside the camera is an advantage. But, all that's for other threads.
