Sika Deer Stag

Well it’s been a long day and the Sika Rut has started but only a couple of faint bellows so it’s in its very early stages.

Give it a couple of weeks and the dawn chorus should be amazing and hopefully will be able to get some stags squaring of or bellowing. Sika though aren’t as impressive bellowers as the Red Deer but still a great sight to see

Here is one of the early stags resting in the morning sunrise with a few does around him.

Yep, don`t I know it, just bigger than Roe, but only just.
