silhouette landscape

hi all,iv found somewhere i`d like to try a silhouette sunset shoot.
what settings and method is best for this ?

If you meter for the sky, then recompose on your foreground interest you should get a dark / black silhouette with nice sky.

Silhouettes are generally about underexposing so the subject is rendered dark or maximum black. Like Pork says, aim ate the sky for your meter, although shooting in manual is just as easy if you have time to fiddle around
