Silly Question

How do I add images on my threads for sharing/critics, etc. Tried copying and pasting from My Pictures...this doesn't work...everytime I click on Insert Image it asks to add URL..

Please help

Hi you'll need to host them somewhere flickr, photobucket etc or upload to the gallery here on tp

Personally I use use Photobucket. It's a doddle to get your account set up & it's easy to use as well.

Tried adding Flickr link by clicking on Insert Image...Still no image has appeared on the thread...however, when I tried insert link this has worked..

Any clues of why we can't see an image via 'insert image'

You haven't inserted an img code, you've linked to the set the picture is in.

right click image properties on flickr copy the url, insert image delete the http that is in the pop up box and paste your link

Photobucket is the best for hosting images for posting on forums.

I don't use Flickr and it's changed since I did, however some where it with give you options for sharing your image, you either need to copy the one that is something like www.flickr.com/yourphotos/12345.jpg into the image box (the one with the wee postcard pic in the Reply box) or copy the the entire code that starts

Nope, you need the code that ends .jpg

on flickr view all sizes, select the sized image you want, right click the image, left click at bottom on the pop up box properties, in the pop up box copy the address url, when selecting insert image on here delete the http that is in the pop up box and paste what you have copied

the url will be this for your 640x425 size
