Hi everyone
I had been planning to go to Silverstone for a while now and left it for too late to check details about it all. It would be my first time attending something of this kind but it has been on the agenda for a while now. Have no experience at all with stuff with speed apart of an occasional air-show or two last year but I certainly caught the bug to try to photograph anything at high speed
So here is my dilemma. I am a total ignorant with everything that has to do with it, starting from where to go and position myself, lenses to take, tripod or monopod or just handheld, even getting tickets I left it for so late that now the website says that I cannot book online. So first of all, is this something that I can just go there tomorrow and buy an entry ticket at the booking desk and get access? And even within the circuit and stands are there locations that I should choose to position myself and I can ask to buy tickets that would give me access to those locations?
Of course ideally it would be good to tag along a tog buddy who was planning to go there. So is anyone around here planning to attend Silverstone tomorrow?
Also any help with tips regarding what to take and what to look for would really be greatly appreciated. I do have both, monopod and tripod, but is this something that is advisable to use or handheld is good enough? What do you suggest?
Lens wise I have a canon 70-200 IS f/2.8, a canon 300mm IS f/4.0, Canon 1.4 extender and I do also have the bigma. Any suggestions here please?
Many thanks
Amin
