Hey there, this is my second time shooting motorsport. However my biggest struggle today was the fact that the people i was with didnt really want to move very much and we only watched from two bits. Would have been awesome to move around to lots of different locations and try to get some with the new wing in the background. Also all shots are taken with my 70-210mm beercan, would love a bit of extra zoom but hope to get a x2 teleconverter soon. Anyway here they are:

Well, normal spectators just don't get the photography thing :D

I like these though... not sure about the shape of the crops - I tend to try to keep it 3:2 even if cropped.

My picks are #1 and #5 although I'd like to see those recropped to a 3:2... think they have what it takes though to be excellent.

Processing is rather nice btw (y)

Thanks ill try them in a 3:2 format, i did shoot all in 3:2 but a lot have been cropped as my 210mm doesnt have enough zoom.

Better edit of my last one

Its stylised but I quite like it (y)

They are all good shots, but I just have to say that shot #5 works exceptionally well.

There is something appealing about the contrast betwen the two cars, the bare track, and the angle of the light.

Here is #1 and #5 in 3:2 aspect as requested:

Thanks a lot Ed, i personally like #8 for sorta similar reasons. I don't know why just like the green astro at the top of the pic and the grey of the car with those gorgeous brake lights

As others have said 3:2 has greatly improved the images. Shame you didn't get to move around a lot as there are some great angles around. You've got some solid panning though, and nice catch on the DBRS9 flame.

#10 on a 3:2 ratio would probably be my favourite, but until then #5 for me. (y)

Yup, in 3:2 #5 is way better - and it was good to start with.

Rear three quarter shots don't often work, but this does with the light and the contrasting colours of the cars as was said above.

Think you deserve a nice big print of that one (y)
